How many solar panels can be connected to the AC300 + B300K? 2) How to connect them? 3) Can the solar input current exceed 12A? 4) Can the solar input power exceed 2,400W?
1) The AC300 supports dual MPPT, with each MPPT able to connect:
1 to 6 PV120 panels,
1 to 5 PV200 panels,
1 to 3 PV350 panels,
1 to 3 PV420 panels.
2) Series connecting is highly recommended for the best efficiency and durability. Avoid mixing different types of solar panels in the same circuit to ensure optimal efficiency and prevent potential damage.
3) Yes, but the extra current will be wasted.
4) Yes, however, please ensure the total voltage does not exceed 150V.
Is it possible to use third-party solar panels?
Yes, as soon as the solar panels meet the following conditions:
1) Total VOC: 12V to 150V
2) Total power: 2,400W Max.
3) With MC4 connectors
Will the system be charged by connecting solar panels or adapters to the expansion batteries?
Yes. However, in this case, the AC300 won't display the charging power.
Can I connect different types of solar panels to the AC300?
Yes, the AC300 features dual MPPT solar charge controllers, allowing you to connect two different types of solar panels to them. However, it's important to ensure that the solar panels connected in the same circuit are consistent. For more details, please watch the BLUETTI AC300 | Solar Charging video on YouTube.
What to consider when recharging the AC300 + B300K from a generator?
1. The generator's output voltage and frequency should fall within the range of AC300.
2. If your generator doesn't meet the AC300's power requirements, you can reduce the AC300's input current using its touchscreen to match your generator's output.
3. Use a generator with a sine wave output.
Can I charge the combo from solar panels, a car, and AC power simultaneously?
Yes. The AC300 + B300 combo can draw power from AC, solar panels, and car outlets simultaneously, thanks to its dual DC inputs.
Can I charge the AC300 with a 12V/24V DC/DC charger, MPPT controller, or other solar controller?
Yes. However, the Max. charging power is limited to 100W (12V) or 200W (24V). Please set the "DC input source" to "Others".
How to build a split-phase system? What are the benefits?
To create a split-phase system, use the fusion box (P030A) to connect 2 AC300 units in series. This setup allows for up to 6kW of output power and a capacity of up to 24,576Wh, suitable for powering 240V appliances and providing extended runtime.
For detailed instructions, refer to the AC300 | Split Phase System Build Up guide: Link
Can I combine different models like the AC300 and AC500 units in a split-phase system?
No.
Is the split-phase feature exclusive to the US and Japan versions?
Yes.
Can I use the standard AC charging cable to charge two AC300 units in a split-phase system?
No, you need to use the split-phase AC charging cable.
Will the AC300 outlets provide 240V/6kW output after setting up the split-phase system?
No. For 240V/6kW output, you should use the 240V outlet on the P030A fusion box or the 240V circuit breaker on the distribution box.
Does AC300 support remote app control?
Yes. Connect via WiFi or Bluetooth, the BLUETTI app allows you to control the AC300 + B300 remotely, like switching the working modes and upgrading the firmware.
ls AC300 waterproof?
No. Please store and use it in a cool and dry place.
Can I use my AC300 + B300K in cold weather?
Yes, to ensure optimal performance and protect your battery, charge and discharge the combo within these temperature ranges:
Charging: 32°F to 104°F (0°C to 40°C)
Discharging: -4°F to 104°F (-20°C to 40°C)
How to maintain and store the AC300 + B300K?
1. Charge immediately when the battery level drops to 5%.
|2. Before storing, charge it to 60% SoC, power off, and disconnect all electrical connections.
3. Store it in a cool and dry place, away from flammable or combustible materials and gases.
4. You can safely store it in temperatures from -4°F to 113°F (-20°C to 45°C). For storage over one month, it's recommended to maintain an ideal temperature of around 86°F (30°C).
5. Fully cycle the product every 3 months to maintain battery health.
Does AC300 have a UPS function?
1. Standard UPS - Recommended for areas with unstable grid power.
2. Time Control UPS - Set it to charge during off-peak hours and power your loads during peak times. Suitable for areas with fluctuating electricity prices based on time-of-use.
3. PV Priority UPS - Uses solar power first, ideal for sunny regions.
4. Customized UPS - Flexible to fit your specific energy needs.
Does the B300K support power bank mode?
No
Can it charge and discharge at the same time?
Yes. It supports pass-through charging.
Can the AC300 charge lead-acid batteries and accumulators?
Yes, you can charge these batteries using the AC outlets on the AC300 with an AC-DC adapter. However, charging directly from the DC output ports is not supported.
What is ECO mode?
It's a power-saving feature designed to conserve energy. When turned on, it automatically shuts off the AC or DC output if the unit isn't powering any devices or is carrying a very light load for 4 hours.
Can the AC300 provide 30A output via its TT-30 port?
No, the AC300 can output a maximum of 3,000W. That's around 25A when using 120V and 30A with 100V. While the TT-30 port can handle up to 30A, the AC300 itself can't supply that much power. Regular 20A outlets can't go beyond 20A, so the TT-30 port gives you extra capacity if needed.
Can I use a power strip with the AC300?
Yes, but keep the total power consumption below 3,000W.
Can I use the AC300's 24V cigarette lighter port to power 12V devices?
No, the 24V port is for 24V devices only.
For 12V devices, it is recommended to use the AC300's 12V RV port.
Can I place the AC300 on its side?
We recommend keeping it upright. If you lay it on its side for extended periods, it may loosen its internal components over time.
How to power my RV with the 12V/30A RV port?
Connect the Anderson port of the RV cable to the RV.
You can purchase the RV output cable here.
